Welcome to G2Orthopaedics. Here you will find some information about me, what I do and how to arrange a private consultation. I have been a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in Preston in Central Lancashire since 2001, after training in the North West of England, Edinburgh and Adelaide, Australia.
I specialise in joint replacement of the hip and knee. At the hip, as well as total hip replacement, I have a 20-year experience of the Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (Andy Murray's op).
For knee arthritis, my practice includes both total and partial knee replacement. My private practice is based at Fulwood Hall Hospital. I will see patients privately with or without a referral from a GP, although I will always keep your doctor informed about any advice or treatment given.

Ride Across Britain, September 2024
For most of the past 10 years (outside Covid) I have cycled the Ride London 100 event annually to raise money (in the main from the generosity of my patients) for various charities including Cash for Kids, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Cancer Research and Alzheimer’s Research UK. In September 2023 I decided to ride the 980 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats as part of the Ride Across Britain event in September 2024 with Macmillan as my chosen charity.
Unfortunately, in October 2023 I came off my bike and broke my right hip. This required a total hip replacement, which took place on 30th October 2023. I have recovered well and plan to do the ride as intended. I hope to raise £5000 and hope that if you are reading this you will be able to donate using my JustGiving link below.
